Concerts by the Sea

St. Andrew’s by-the-Sea Episcopal Church is pleased to announce the 2017 Concerts by the Sea schedule of performances.  This season includes repeat and first-time appearances by both local musicians and artists from the New York metropolitan area and beyond, presenting a variety of musical styles, from jazz to classical, art song to Broadway.  The concerts are generally held on weekends and take place in the church.  The church is located at 182 Willow Avenue, Little Compton, Rhode Island.

3 Centuries of Music

Alfresco Flutes will present “Three Centuries of Music,” with repertoire from the Baroque, Classical and Modern eras.  The flutists will offer a brief commentary on both the well- and lesser-known composers from Bach to Bizet to Broadway.


Gianna Sullivan of Newport studied at The Juilliard School of Music, in masterclasses with flutist Jean-Pierre Rampal, and holds a BFA from Boston University.  Shirley Hardison of Little Compton graduated from the University of Louisville, KY and earned her MA at Fairfield University, CT.  Since 2011, they have been heard together in concerts, galleries and at private events around the state.
