Events and Announcements

The next Bible Study is November 25th at noon. We meet virtually every Tuesday at noon. Feel free to bring your lunch. Upcoming dates are Decemeer 2nd, 9th, and 16th.

The next Women's luncheon is at the Boathouse on November 19th at noon. Please let Joan Buhrendorf know if you plan to attend.

Please sign up to host a coffee hour in November, December, and January.

If you took a tag to buy a child's Christmas gift, from either Barbara Watterson or Linda Findlay, we MUST have the gift this Sunday, 11/23, in order to fulfill our agreement with My Brother's Keeper.

On November 22nd at 2 PM, there will be a Wild Worship led by Norman MacLeod and sponsored by the Diocese of RI's Creation Care Team, of which Virginia is a member. It will be held at the Norman Bird Sanctuary in Middletown. Please let Virginia know if you are interested and plan on joining her.

On November 23rd, the last Sunday of the Liturgical year and the Sunday before Thanksgiving, we will have an UNDIE SUNDAY. At the request of Nan Haffenreffer, RN, we will collect men and women's underwear and socks. She will take it to the MLK Center in Newport who have acquired a shower truck for the unhoused. These donations help the Center to be able to give clean underwear and socks to the people who use the shower truck. Simple cotton undie and socks are greatly needed.

The annual St. Andrew's dinner is on December 7th at 5 PM in the nave. The Meal will be catered by Wilma's so we need an accurate headcount. Please sign up in the Narthex! All you have to bring that night is a bottle/beverage of your choosing.

Our Food Bank Ministry and Outreach:

  • If you are interested in helping at the St. Pete's and St. Andy's Food Bank in Providence on November 7th or December 5th, please contact Virginia. We hope to take 6-8 people each time we go up. We meet at St. Andrew's at 9 am and carpool. Those of us who have already been, are quite sure that you will be inspired!

We continue to work together to fill the big green bucket in the Narthex with non-perishable foods, paper products, and personal hygiene products to be shared equally between the Westport Food Pantry and the Little Compton Food Bank (which also serves Tiverton residents).

SAVE YOUR LEES MARKET RECEIPTS AND EARN BACK MONEY FOR ST. ANDREW'S
St. Andrew's has signed up to participate in a charitable program administered by Lees Market.  Bring all your Lees receipts to church and deposit them in the Lees Market Receipt basket in the Narthex.  We will turn those receipts back into Lees and will receive a percentage back of the total amount of the receipts.  Thanks for your participation!

A Reminder:  On the fourth Sunday of every month, any cash donations put into the offering plate go directly into the Priests’ Discretionary Fund.
